Kerie Smith


Growing up in Blenheim, Kerie's first foray into musical theatre was in 1980 in Jesus Christ Superstar. Shortly afterwards Kerie traveled overseas and it wasn't until she was back in Blenheim and her young family had grown up, that she returned to the stage in 2004. Her strong soprano singing enables her to contribute strongly in the ensemble and principal roles she has held.

A particular favourite for Kerie was playing Rosie in Mamma Mia, she says "It was so much fun I just didn't want the season to end, plus I made friendships for life".

Never one to let an opportunity pass by, Kerie lived in Auckland for 4 months in 2017 when she was cast as Sister-Mary-Martin-Of-Tours in Sister Act, another amazing show to add to the list.
